Winning is in the details, and one major detail that gets over looked each week in fantasy football is weather. It can take your dream passing match up for your quarterback and turn it into a run dominated game due to 25 mph wind. I can’t tell you how many times I have turn on a game and been totally surprised that it’s pouring. NFL coaches certainly pay attention to the weather, and so should you.
Each week I will take a look at the forecast for each game on Sunday and Monday. I wouldn’t use the weather report to bench players like Aaron Rodgers and Adrian Peterson, but I would use it as a tiebreaker for you flex spot.
The entire United States is looking pretty clean to extend our streak of mostly clear Sundays of football. Our biggest weather implication is across the pond in London with the 49ers and Jaguars. It appears we will be getting a typical London day with a good chance of rain and some descent wind. I would worry more about this affecting the 49ers than the Jaguars. The 49ers have the overall better talent and can beat the Jaguars by just simply running the football. With this weather, look for that to be even more of the game plan. The Jaguars will be in comeback mode and will need to pass the ball no matter the weather.
